Summerwinds Stables, located in Kent County, Delaware is a non-profit all volunteer organization.
We are a registered 501(c)(3), and as such, any monetary contributions you make to our operation are tax deductible.
We are committed to our mission and frugal with the donations we receive, doing the most we can with the least we can. We've taken penny-pinching to a new level!
Because of the generous support we have received from grants and donors we have been able to expand our operation to better serve our community with the addition of more outreach programs specifically geared towards assisting disabled and troubled children with equine therapy.
We're finding a perfect match, that perhaps you can imagine, in the natural healing and bonding possible when you bring a needy child and a needy horse together in a green pasture, providing both with the opportunity of a happier more stable future.
But, we're not happy to "rest on our laurels" - especially since our laurels need near constant refreshing! As we are outgrowing our current space we are looking to expand with additional acreage. We believe that there is more that we could do and are beginning to find that we're being constrained more by our physical space than by our ability to serve.
